Constantine volleyball survives feisty Maple Valley

September 12, 2013 By Wes Morgan

Fending off a feisty Maple Valley squad and making up for its own miscues, the Constantine varsity volleyball team won all four games Wednesday on its home court.

Zoe Jones had 12 kills to lead the Falcons. Lexie Harrison added 10 digs, Danica Lucas finished with nine digs and Cassie Wentela notched 21 assists.

“Tonight was not our best showing, we had a lot of errors all the way around,” Constantine coach Niki Tulley said. “Maple Valley has some tough hitters, and they challenged us all night long. From here, we focus on eliminating our unforced errors. We missed way too many serves and hitting errors tonight, but we will push ahead and look forward to our tournament in Watervliet this Saturday.”

Jessica Mallo recorded five aces to lead the Falcons in serving and Harrison and Lucas each added a solo block.
