Constantine volleyball picked up a 25-12, 25-14, 25-21 victory at Colon Thursday in noneconference play. The Falcons got a lift from Zoe Jones’ six kills, seven digs and two aces, as well as the quartet of Lexie Harrison, Jessica Mallo, Danica Lucas and Jordan Smith — each of whom recorded four kills.
Harrison added eight digs, Lucas posted four aces and four digs and Michelle Smith served eight aces and had four digs. Kelsey Potter chipped in three digs and setter Cassie Wentela recorded 17 assists to go along with two kills.
Colon did not report individual statistics.
“We had a really rough night last night against Parchment (Wednesday), and our focus [Thursday] was to maintain a positive attitude throughout the game and support each other,” Constantine coach Niki Tulley said. “The girls did that tonight, and our team atmosphere was much more relaxed and just played our game. Colon is a scrappy team, so we had to be tough in our attacking game, once we started finding the holes, things started happening for us.”
