The Constantine volleyball team finished in third place at the Marcellus Tournament Saturday.
In pool play, the Falcons defeated Watervliet Grace Christian (25-14, 25-16) and Hartford (25-23, 25-13) and fell to Lake Michigan Catholic (22-25, 20-25).
Constantine then fell to Galesburg-Augusta (19-25, 17-25), before rebounding for a win in the consolation round against Marcellus (25-14, 25-16).
Lexie Harrison had 28 kills, 30 digs and eight aces for the Falcons. Danica Lucas had 16 kills, four aces and 25 digs, while Cassie Wentela finished with 70 assists, seven aces, 12 digs and four kills.
Coach Niki Tulley said the Falcons had a tough time establishing momentum in the tournament.
“We had a tough time putting everything together,” she said. “We struggled in serve-receive and when we did pass well, we struggled in our attacks. Consistency in our game has to be our focus. This group of girls has so much potential, they just have to remain mentally tough throughout a tournament.”
