A 35-point outburst in the first quarter is all Constantine’s football team needed to dispose of Kalamazoo Valley Association cellar dweller Galesburg-Augusta Friday at Sweetland Stadium. The Falcons went on to a 65-6 victory and improve to 5-2 overall.
Andreys Montoya led Constantine with 102 rushing yards, including a 52-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter.
Justin Hull rushed for two touchdowns, and Spencer Tefft, Taylor Reiff and quarterback Matt Hasbrouck each scored on the ground. Hull finished with 81 yards on four carries (20.25 per take), Tefft added 40 yards on five runs and Reiff finished with 37 yards on five carries.
Hasbrouck completed a 26-yard TD pass to Luhk Mullendore for the only completion out of just two passing attempts all evening.
Defensively, Montoya added an interception, Tefft made nine assisted tackles and recovered a fumble, Dae Dickerson posted three solo stops and Eric Petoskey finished with seven total tackles (six solo).
