Three Rivers’ baseball team dropped both games of Wednesday’s doubleheader against Comstock, 5-1 and 11-0.
Ben VanScoik took the loss in Game 1 after allowing five hits and two walks. He finished with five strikeouts. Josh Hill had a pair of hits and Shawn Brew scored the team’s lone run.
Austin Pond was the Wildcats’ starter in Game 2, in which Andrew Bowers, Tate Ellifritz, Alex Minger and Chris Balog registered a hit apiece.
“Lack of hitting and too many defensive mistakes were the issue in both losses,” Three Rivers coach Ryan Kane said.
