The Colon volleyball team traveled to North Adams-Jerome Thursday and lost in three games, 14-25, 14-25, 14-25, in Southern Central Athletic Conference play.
Makayla Craun led the Magi offense with seven kills and four blocks, while Sarah Hutson contributed three kills and one block, and Caitlyn Clipfell added two kills and two service aces. Setting up those kills were Coley Clemens (nine assists) and Bailey Fisher (four assists).
“The defense and serve receive passing was great for the lady Magi this evening and fairly evenly spaced between the team, although Makayla Craun and Sarah Hutson continue to lead their team in getting the ball to the target,” Colon coach Crystal Delp said. “I’m excited to see such great passing and more touches on blocks than we have been all season, and feel that if we can gain a little more consistency in our offense we can finish this season on a strong note.”
The Magi are off until next Saturday when they will compete in a tournament at Battle Creek Pennfield.
