Colon girls fall to Hillsdale Academy

December 14, 2013 By Wes Morgan

The Colon girls basketball team slipped to 0-4 to start the year after Friday’s 42-14 home loss to Hillsdale Academy.

Anessa Broker led the Magi with seven points, Taya Bower registered three points and six rebounds and Makayla Craun pulled down eight rebounds.

“Anessa Broker and Taya Bower played a really nice game for us tonight,” Colon coach Sharon Craun said. “Anessa handled the ball very nicely for us and Taya played very good defense. Makayla got in early foul trouble but still managed to pull down eight rebounds. I was very pleased with the team’s performance tonight. Despite the loss, the girls played very well as a team tonight.”

Skyler Harvey and Gretta Minor each had a point.
