A late barrage in the first half gave Jackson Christian a seven-point edge at intermission and it was enough to hold on for a 46-30 home victory Thursday against Colon’s girls basketball team.
Anessa Broker led Colon with 10 points, Makayla Craun posted six points, 16 rebounds and three steals, and Ashleigh Wolf, Taya Bower and Morgan Czajkowski each finished with four points. Harvey grabbed nine rebounds, Bower secured eight and Czajkowski pulled down seven.
“The girls played a really good game against Jackson Christian,” Colon coach Sharon Craun said. “We keep improving with each game. I am very proud of the girls.”
Colon falls to 3-7 overall and 3-5 in SCAA play.
