Three players from Colon reached double figures in a 74-46 win over North Adams-Jerome Monday in a Southern Central Athletic Association contest.
Brad Brittingham led all scorers with 24 points, including an eight-point second quarter that put the Magi up 36-21 at halftime. Spencer Smolarz poured in a season-high 16 points and Logan Vaughn added a season-high 13.
“[We] had 18 steals and 18 assists and beat a determined North Adams,” Colon coach Mike Sowles said. “Colon had a 15 point lead at half and secured the game with a 23-7 outburst in the fourth quarter.”
Colon improved to 7-6 overall and 6-5 in the SCAA.
Brandon Hinkley and Chase Farrand each finished with six points, followed by Gabe Keely (five) and Bailey Tyler (four).
Brittingham also had seven rebounds, and Smolarz and Brett Prell grabbed six apiece.
