Colon boys thrash Tekonsha

Tekonsha’s boys basketball team was in trouble as soon as it got off the bus Tuesday when it faced one of the state’s most prolific scorers on his home court. The result was a 71-29 victory by Colon.

Brad Brittingham TKO’d Tekonsha with 32 points and 11 rebounds and Tyler Schipper had 16 points penciled into the stat book for the Magi, which moved to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the Southern Central Athletic Association.

Tekonsha’s overall and league records were not reported.

Spencer Smolarz added five points, seen rebounds, four assists and three steals, Gabe Kelly finished with six points, four assists and three steals, Mike Flick chipped in two points, Billy Vaughn posted four points and five boards, Bailey Tyler had four points and four rebounds and Brett Prell contributed two points.
