After a 5-1 win to start the night, the Constantine varsity softball team drilled Niles Brandywine 13-1 in the nightcap to improve to 3-0 this spring.
Mercedes Cole gave up seven hits and struck out 11 batters in a complete game for the Falcons to start the night. She did her part at the plate, too, registering two hits (one double). Macey Tulley and Trasandra Raagsdale also finished with two hits apiece. Tulley drove in two runs.
In Game 2, Cole pitched all five innings and allowed only three hits with three strikeouts. Piper Ousley was 4-for-4 with two doubles and four runs batted in, and both Tulley (one double) and Ragsdale (one double) had three hits. Ragsdale drove in three runs and Tulley had one RBI.
Brianna Herrick (two doubles) and Raigan Dumm ended the game with two hits, and Cole, Kiara Price and Bailey Rodewald singled. Price drove in two runs.
