Climax-Scotts boys basketball picked up a 65-57 road win Friday at Colon despite the Magi’s Brad Brittingham hoisting a co-game-high 22 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.
The Panthers answered with Cody Moody’s 22-point effort, with three other players reaching double figures.
Colon led 32-30 at halftime but was down five points entering the third quarter. That’s when climax-Scotts put together a 19-point frame, including 10 points from Moody. Brittingham hit a pair of 3-pointers en route to nine fourth-quarter points.
Brett Prell and Brandon Hinkley tallied seven points apiece, Bailey Tyler and Spencer Smolarz both had six, and Gabe Keely added three for the Magi. Smolarz finished with seven rebounds and Brittingham led the way with four assists.
