Centreville football falls at Bridgman

August 30, 2013 By Wes Morgan

Centreville High School added a trip to Bridgman to start the season just last week, so there wasn’t much time to prepare the way most teams get ready for Week 1 opponents. The Bulldogs kept things tight but fell short in a 30-13 loss.

Senior running back Zach Bauman was injured late in the game and made a trip to the emergency room to have his leg examined. Centreville coach Aaron Hartong told JoeInsider.com it’s “looking positive” from the hospital and that Bauman suffered a deep thigh bruise.

Bridgman finished with 321 yards of total offense in the win. The Bulldogs’ Demarco Taylor rushed for 140 yards to lead the squad and quarterback Zach Teadt was 5 of 8 for 51 yards. Jonathon Eicher led in tackles with 11, followed by Bauman (seven) and Nick Kelley’s six stops. Taylor added 59 receiving yards.
