Centreville and Colon fall in regional championship games

The boys basketball season ended Wednesday for both Centreville and Colon due to defeats in the regional championship.

In Division 3, the Bulldogs fell to Niles Brandywine 58-35.   The loss ends Centreville’s season at 18-8.  The Bobcats improve to 24-2 and face Pewamo-Westphalia in Tuesday’s quarterfinal game at Portage Central.

In Division 4, the Magi were ousted by Kalamazoo Phoenix 72-40.   The Magi also wrap up at 18-8.  Phoenix moves to 17-2 and play Tri-unity Christian in the Tuesday quarterfinal at Gull Lake.

Player statistics were not reported from either regional final.
