Burr Oak’s volleyball team swept Litchfield Tuesday 25-18, 25-17, 25-11 in a road match that gave the Bobcats an opportunity to get their reserves quality playing time.
“Tonight’s game went as expected,” Burr Oak coach Kris Owens said. “Litchfield has struggled this year and we went in confident. Most of the girls got equal playing time with more subbing than usual, and they took some risks with serving techniques with hopes of improving them heading toward districts. The energy level was a little lower than usual in the first two sets, but they managed to pick up their drive in set three.”
Brooke Cooper scored 12 points, had two aces, 17 assists and three digs, while Michaela Ultz posted 15 points, a pair of aces, nine kills and nine digs. Sydney Owens registered 18 points, five aces and two kills, Jade Lown had three digs, Madi Adams scored four points, had an ace, one kill and a dig, Kyhann Currier finished with four points, two aces and three kills, Chelsey Boyd added 10 points, four kills and six digs and Jade Summey recorded 15 points, four aces, two kills and six digs.
