A Southern Central Athletic Conference volleyball doubleheader netted Burr Oak a pair of wins Thursday against Waldron. The Bobcats won the first match 25-12, 18-25, 15-10 and the second 25-17, 25-15.
Brooke Cooper had 25 points on the night, including 31 assists. Michaela Ultz finished with 12 kills and nine digs, Sydney Owens produced 14 kills and 15 digs, Chelsey Boyd had seven kills and 17 digs and Jade Summey served 15 aces and contributed seven kills, three solo blocks and 27 digs. Jade Lown added six digs, Jasmine Patton chipped in eight digs, Madi Adams posted six digs and Kyhann Currier added three digs.

“Other than the set where a couple key players lost focus, I was pretty pleased with the way my team played tonight,” Burr Oak coach Kris Owens said. “They were fairly consistent setting the ball up, made some great 2 motion plays, and serve and serve receive were solid.”
