Things got off to a rocky start Wednesday night for the Burr Oak girls basketball team and the Bobcats couldn’t recover in a 55-23 loss at Hillsdale Academy.
Michaela Ultz led the Bobcats, which were down 18-2 after the first quarter, with eight points, Jade Lown scored six, Jade Summey added five and Tori Everitt and Sydney Owens each finished with two.
“Our offense got off to a slow start and we were down big early,” Burr Oak coach Jennifer Sutton said. “We were not able to overcome the large first-half deficit even with improved play in the second half.”
