Burr Oak’s girls basketball team won its season opener last week on a last-second 3-pointer. Against Webberville at home Monday, the Bobcats couldn’t duplicate that magic in a 45-42 loss.
Jade Summey scored a team-high 14 points, Chelsey Boyd added seven, Michaela Ultz chipped in five and Tori Everitt, Jade Lown, Hannah Root and Ariel Schwemer each finished with four for Burr Oak.
“We started off slow, came back from behind, but couldn’t get a shot to fall late in the fourth,” Bobcats coach Jennifer Sutton said.
Alysa Badour notched 15 points and Mackenzie Tyler scored 14, including a pair of 3-pointers, for Webberville.
