Burr Oak girls fall to Camden-Frontier

January 30, 2014 By Wes Morgan

Camden-Frontier’s girls basketball squad earned a 56-24 victory over Burr Oak Thursday in the Bobcats’ gym.

Freshmen Hailey Lawson scored 26 points and Kasey Follis registered 13 points for Camden-Frontier.

Jade Lown finished with eight points to pace Burr Oak, followed by Jade Summey (seven) and Chelsey Boyd (three). Tori Everitt and Sydney Owens each had two, and Ariel Schwemer and Michaela Ultz scored one.

“I was very happy with how we played against Camden in the first half,” Bobcats coach Jennifer Sutton said. “Also, our free-throw-shooting was much improved.”

Camden-Frontier led 23-16 at halftime before an 18-5 advantage in the third quarter blew the game wide open.
