Burr Oak can now boast double-digit wins after a 68-54 home victory Thursday against Hillsdale Academy.
The Bobcats are now 10-5 overall and 7-4 in the Southern Central Athletic Association.
With double-double efforts by Chantz Owens (18 points, 10 rebounds) and Brent Everitt (12 points, 14 rebounds), Burr Oak pieced together a 34-23 halftime lead and remained out front the rest of the way.
“We got back to playing the style of basketball we want to play,” Burr Oak head coach Dave Brackett said. “It all started on the defensive end getting in the passing lanes and creating havoc on the guards. We rebounded well tonight and attacked the glass on the offensive end. We worked the ball on offense and found our bigs down low.”
Christian Eckert finished with 15 points and three steals, Logan Mount scored 12 points and Kenny Walston added eight.
