Bulldogs Football Report: Week 9

October 25, 2013 By Wes Morgan

The 2013 Centreville football season comes to an end tonight at Hartford. The Bulldogs are 1-6 entering the contest. The Indians are 5-3 and looking to solidify a postseason spot. Centreville is coming off a 24-13 loss to Lake Michigan Catholic.

Injury Report
John Eicher is going to back to his punting duty but not at middle linebacker due to a shoulder injury that isn’t quite healed.

Practice Report
“Practice this week has been a great time of letting the seniors enjoy their last experience with us and thanking them for laying the foundation of a new culture in Centreville,” head coach Aaron Hartong said. “They have been positive since day one and are still lifting up the underclassmen and pushing them to continue the change through hard work and commitment to the program. Last week they surprised themselves with the fire they played with against a 6-1 LMC team, and they realize that fumbles and small mistakes are the only reason they lost Friday.”

Scouting Hartford
“Offensively, they run a little of everything formation wise: wishbone, broken I, split-back, Ace, a bit of everything,” Hartong said. “Their bread and butter is an off-tackle power lead off of a pitch which they do over and over again. We have to shut off-tackle down and wear their QB out by getting him on the ground as much as possible.

“Defensively, they fly to the ball but I believe that if we play like we did on Friday and eliminate mistakes, that we will win this game.”
