Centreville hosted a volleyball quad Monday evening and finished with victories over Eau Claire and Howardsville Christian. The Bulldogs dropped their two sets against Athens to end the competition with a 2-1 record.
Centreville beat Eau Claire 25-21, 25-19 and Howardsville Christian 25-12, 25-11. Athens got the best of the Bulldogs 25-11, 25-23.
Jenna Beeker posted eight aces, Madison Hunter led the team with 18 assists and Bailee May slammed 21 kills and had six aces and 28 digs for the Bulldogs. Kirby added 11 kills and 20 digs, Hunter had seven kills and and 17 digs, and Sam Lewis contributed 14 digs.
“The girls had a lot of energy tonight and it showed on the court,” Centreville coach Melissa Gales said. “We still need to be consistent in our serve receive and learn to adjust to each server. Bailee May did an excellent job finding open spots on the court and did well at the net making other hitters make adjustments.”
