Centreville made a push in the second quarter to cut the deficit to one point but mustered only seven points the rest of the game in a 42-28 girls basketball loss Monday at Union City.
Rachel Wing led Union City (4-5) with 19 points. Catherine Rigby scored eight points for the Bulldogs (1-7), followed by Madison Hunter (six), Jenna Beeker (five), Mattie Kirby (four), Becky Clementz (two), Rudie Crawford (two) and Faith Morell (one).
Bailee May and Rigby grabbed nine and seven rebounds, respectively, for Centreville. Rigby also posted a team-high five steals and Hunter dished out two assists.
