Centreville took a detour from league play and picked off Quincy in five games, 14-25, 25-17, 17-25, 25-18, 16-14. The Bulldogs relied on a 90.11 serving percentage to send lone senior Charity Yeager out on a high note in her last match at home.
“Bailee May and Mattie Kirby found the whole and hit well at the net,” Centreville coach Melissa Gales said. “Bailee added 4 solo blocks and two assisted blocks. Becky Clementz came in to help cover the court defensively digging the ball.”
Mattie Kirby had 11 kills three aces and 23 digs, May also finished with 13 kills and 24 digs, Jenna Beeker posted 14 digs, Madison Hunter registered three aces and Yeager ended the night with three aces and nine digs.
“Senior Charity Yeager had a great finish to her volleyball career tonight serving well and being a vocal leader,” Gales said.
Centreville closes out St. Joseph Valley League play Wednesday against White Pigeon.
