Three Rivers grabbed a 53-44 boys basketball road win at Dowagiac Union Friday evening. The Wildcats are now on a four-game winning streak.
“We did a great job of starting the game out with an Andrew Brown dunk and finishing out the quarter up 13-10,” said TR coach Brian Burg. “Dowagiac did a great job of scoring off our turnovers in the first half to cut our lead to 25-21 at the half.”
“I said at halftime we need to make sure to take care of the ball and rebound the ball to win this game,” added Burg. “And we did that with only six turnovers and getting the rebounds we needed. Great job of team defense and going 8-10 at the free throw line to win this game.”
Three Rivers is 6-4 overall and 4-3 in the Wolverine Conference. The Wildcats travel to Niles Tuesday. Dowagiac is 4-4 and 2-3 in league play with a home game Tuesday versus Paw Paw.
