Marcellus won 82-46 at home Tuesday against Mendon in boys basketball. The Wildcats had their second-highest point total of the season, only behind last week’s 84 against winless Bangor.
Kaeler Stafne and Gavin Etter yet again lit up the scoresheet with 29 points by Stafne and 26 from Etter. Isaac Conklin topped the Hornets with 11 points.
Marcellus is now the only one-loss team in the Southwest 10 Conference standings after Centreville’s win over Cassopolis. The Wildcats lead the standings at 9-1 and are 10-2 overall. They host Decatur Friday.
Mendon falls to 1-8 overall and in league play. The path remains tough for the Hornets with second place Bloomingdale (10-2, 8-2) on the road Friday.
