Cassopolis pulled away for a 47-22 boys basketball home win Friday over Mendon.
“Kept it close the whole first half, but we just turned the ball over too many times in the second half,” said Hornets coach Danny Schragg. “Cass is probably the one of the top two teams in the league, so I was really happy to see our defense hold them to only 22 points in the first half and only be down 6 at halftime. We just really struggled offensively in the second half.”
Mendon is 3-6 with the loss and 0-4 in the Southwest 10 Conference. The Hornets head to Hartford Tuesday. The Rangers are 5-2 and 3-0 in league play and host Marcellus Monday.
