Burr Oak’s boys basketball team opened each half with an offensive burst on its way to a 77-61 win Friday at Litchfield.
The Bobcats jumped out to a 16-9 lead after the first quarter and outscored Litchfield 27-13 in the third for a stress-free evening.
Logan Mount led Burr Oak with 16 points, Kenny Walston finished with 14, Brent Everitt had 13, Christian Eckert notched 12 and James Saylor also reached double figures with 11. Chantz Owens posted eight points and Justin Mullins chipped in three.
“We executed our game plan tonight,” Bobcats coach Dave Brackett said. “It started on the defensive end causing turnovers and getting fast break points. We moved the ball on offense and got the shots we wanted. This was our best team game we’ve had this year.”
