Bobcats defeated by Waldron girls

Burr Oak’s girls basketball team fell on the road to Waldron Monday, 60-40.

Freshman Hannah Root had a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Jade Summey scored eight points, Michaela Ultz finished with seven, Chelsey Boyd had five, and Tori Everitt, Jade Lown and Ariel Schwemer each posted two for the Bobcats.

The loss dropped Burr Oak to 2-5 this year, with a 1-4 mark in the Southern Central Athletic Association.

Waldron is now 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the SCAA.

“We struggled tonight; we have two big games this week (Litchfield and Jackson Christian) that we are going to focus on now,” Bobcats coach Jennifer Sutton said.
