Bellevue too much for Magi boys

Colon’s boys basketball team suffered a 49-38 home loss Thursday to Bellevue.

Brad Brittingham led the Magi with 10 points and six rebounds, with Brandon Hinkley and Brett Prell scoring eight apiece. Hinkley also had four rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Spencer Smolarz finished with four points, one rebound and two assists.

Bailey Tyler scored three points and pulled down four boards and Logan Vaughn posted three points and six rebounds. Brandon Vaughn chipped in two points and a pair of boards.

The Magi dropped to 5-7 overall and 5-6 in the SCAA.

Ethan Bloch poured in 23 points for Bellevue, which was up 22-7 after the first quarter.
