Kalamazoo Central welcomed Vicksburg to Derek Jeter Field for a single baseball game Wednesday evening. The visiting Bulldogs came away with a 16-9 win, led by three doubles from Parker Wilson. He scored three runs and knocked in three on four total hits. Jacob Conklin had four runs and four RBI.
For the Maroon Giants, Tyler Annis scored three runs via two hits and a walk. Cole Hemingway had two hits and two runs. Avery Thielman added two RBI with a triple. Both teams picked up 11 hits and draw a combined 15 walks.
K-Central is 1-1 on the young season and travels across town to face SMAC rival Loy Norrix Thursday. Vicksburg (record n/a) plays at Paw Paw Friday in their first Wolverine Conference action.
