The Colon boys basketball team’s season came to an end Monday in a 51-35 loss to Athens in a Class D district quarterfinal game at Burr Oak.

Athens plays Burr Oak (bye) Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the semifinals, followed by Marcellus vs. Howardsville Christian.
Brad Brittingham notched 10 points for the Magi, and Billy Vaughn and Brandon Hinkley each finished with seven Tyler Schipper and Logan Vaughn registered three points, Gabe Keely and Spencer Smolarz chipped in two each and Bailey Tyler added a free throw.
Jacob Iles (14 points) and Hayden Bowersox (12) paced Athens, which led 18-9 after the first quarter and 27-18 at halftime.
