2023 State Wrestling Finals Results

Friday and Saturday at Ford Field in the Detroit saw the 2023 MHSAA wrestling individual state championships.  St. Joseph County was well represented with Constantine, Three Rivers, Mendon, White Pigeon, and Sturgis each having a competitor make it to the podium

Constantine came closest to a championship with two wrestlers making it to the final match.  Troy Demas (190) and Bennett VandenBerg (215) both took home the silver with both falling via sudden victory in the finale.   The Falcons’ Brody Jones (144) brought home seventh.

Three Rivers top finish came from Talan Flowers, fourth place at 120.  Jeremiah Detwiler was seventh at 157 and Jacob Reynolds eighth at 285.

White Pigeon‘s Mazzy Lambert grabbed fourth at 106 and Caleb Lane was seventh at 165.   Sturgis‘s Lola Barkby picked up fourth at girls 125 and Mendon‘s Noah Iobe ended fourth at 285.
