Three Rivers’ softball team ripped through Otsego Tuesday with 16-1 and 12-0 Wolverine Conference road victories.
The Wildcats had a 3-1 lead in Game 1 after the first inning and plated 13 runs in the top of the third to shorten the game due to the 10-run rule.
Jessica Barnes was allowed three hits and the earned run. She finished with three strikeouts and no walks. At the plate, Barnes was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Halle Carpenter (one double), Kylee Nash (one double), Erin Brady, Emma Thatcher and Aislyn Sternbergh had two hits apiece. Karalyn Eldridge and Summer Guthrie singled for the Wildcats.
Nash had three RBIs, Eldridge and Thatcher each drove in two runs, and Carpenter, Brady, Sternbergh and Tessa Hawkins each registered one RBI.
In Game 2, Three Rivers (17-11) held a 3-0 advantage after five innings and put up nine runs in the sixth to put the game out of reach.
Nash allowed only one hit in the victory and she logged six strikeouts and no walks. Nash was also 2-for-4 at the dish that included a home run. She ended the contest with three RBIs.
Barnes had three hits with a double, Eldridge doubled and singled with three RBIs, Amy Jo Tavernier, Erin Brady and Libby Judsen singled. Thatcher, Carpenter and Judsen drove in runs.
