Kalamazoo Christian’s baseball team swept Constantine 6-0 and 3-1 Wednesday in SAC play.
Travis Pease allowed only two hits in the first game for the Comets. Those base hits were by Constantine’s Michael Reese and Matt Morey. Drew Tice took the loss for the Falcons. He gave up just one hit and one earned run with a strikeout and four walks. Constantine, which dropped to 8-14 overall this season, committed four errors in the contest. Nolan Malcom worked two innings for Constantine, scattering three hits. He struck out one and walked two.
Constantine had 10 hits in Game 2 but couldn’t turn them into more than a run. Morey was 3-for-3, Charles Hamilton had two base knocks, and Mitchell Bowdish, Reese, Dylan Shafer, Karter Heslet and Hinter Lindbert singled.
Morey, Carper and Jacob Locker finished with stolen bases for the Falcons.
Reese took the loss after a five-inning effort that included four hits and one earned run allowed. He fanned nine Comets with only one walk. Rayn Sailor recorded a strikeout in one inning of work.
