Centreville’s varsity football team earned its second win of the season Friday after a 44-6 thumping of Eau Claire on the road in Week 7.
The Bulldogs scored a good chunk of their points off Eau Claire turnovers in the Southwest 10 Conference contest, and McClain Lemings led the way with three rushing touchdowns. He finished with 10 carries for 76 yards. Kyzer Bowen rushed for 105 yards and two scores, and Ben Yoder had 56 yards and a score on the ground. Yoder also snagged an interception.
In total, Centreville posted 294 rushing yards.
“Kids played hard,” Centreville coach Tyler Langs said. “These are good kids. We are trying to change the culture. And they have bought in 100 percent. We are going to continue to play hard and bust our tail to the end of the year.”
Justin Norgan led the team with nine tackles and Trenton Kindig added a pair of fumble recoveries.
