After trailing by as many as 15 points, the Burr Oak varsity boys basketball team came back in the second half for a 65-52 victory Tuesday at Litchfield.
“Defense was lazy in the first half and we could not make a shot,” Burr Oak coach Danny Schragg said. “We only scored 16 points in the first half. Everyone came out in the third focused and wanting to win. Proud of how these kids fought back and never gave up even after a terrible first half. We hustled and got loose balls and ran the floor for easy baskets.”
Both Caleb Brooks and Zach Boyd scored 20 points for the Bobcats, and Braxton Hernandez finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Boys accounted for five boards and two steals, and Brooks added four rebounds.
Noah Greene tossed in five points, Armando Beverly had four, as did Dennis Currier, and Skylar Currier had two points and three rebounds.
