Listen live online via JoeInsider.com Friday as Vicksburg hosts Three Rivers for a baseball doubleheader starting around 4 p.m. For both teams, it will be their first taste of Wolverine Conference baseball in 2018.
Last season, the Bulldogs ended the Wildcat season, winning a 2-1 pitching duel in the district tournament. Vicksburg beat Otsego later that afternoon to win the district crown. The Bulldogs also downed Three Rivers in last year’s regular season meetings, 4-0 and 8-1. Vicksburg has been a consistent nemesis to the Wildcats recently, also knocking them out in the 2016 and 2015 district tournaments.
Vicksburg opened their 2018 campaign Wednesday with a split at Coldwater, dominating game one 11-1 and falling 2-1 in the second game.
Three Rivers has also played Coldwater, splitting on the road against the Cardinals prior to spring break with a 5-3 Wildcat win and a 9-8 loss. Three Rivers sits at 2-2 overall, as they split their first April action hosting Schoolcraft Tuesday.
